State Rep. Dick Stein (R-Norwalk) announces the Ohio State Controlling Board recently approved two projects to receive funding located within Stein’s district in Huron County. Both are renovation projects for two different entities.

“I’m very happy to announce significant local project funding has been approved by the Controlling Board to assist with improvements for the Norwalk Armory and Recovery Housing for the Huron County Board of Mental Health and Addiction Services,” said Stein.

The first project includes the approval of release of capital funds totaling $212,500 for a recovery house for women seeking recovery from substance use disorders. With state support, the Huron County Board of Mental Health and Addiction Services is committed to providing recovery services for thirty years.

The other approved measure released $34,750 to assist with renovations and improvements for the Norwalk Armory.

The next Controlling Board meeting is scheduled for Aug. 30.
