Dobos to Serve as Vice Chair of Ohio House Higher Education Committee

COLUMBUS – State Representative Dave Dobos (R-Columbus) today was appointed as Vice Chair of the Ohio House of Representatives Higher Education Committee.

“Throughout my career, I have made it a priority to prepare Ohio’s students and give them the best opportunities imaginable,” Dobos said. “I am so grateful for the chance to continue to do that as Vice Chair of the Higher Education Committee.”

Dobos was elected to the Columbus City Schools Board of Education for eight years, serving as President in the year 2000. He is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and he interviews high school seniors applying to the university.

Dobos was appointed to serve in this position by Speaker Jason Stephens (R-Kitts Hill).

“Representative Dobos’s dedication to the success of Ohio’s students is nothing short of admirable,” Stephens said. “I have the utmost confidence that he will thrive in this position.”
