State Board Releases Funding for Wright State University
COLUMBUS— Today the Ohio State Controlling Board approved nearly $1 million for Wright State University.
The news is welcomed by State Representative Brian Lampton (R-Beavercreek), who advocated for these funds during negotiations over Ohio’s capital budget for FY 2023-2024.
“I am extremely proud to represent Wright State at the Statehouse, so I will take any opportunity I get to secure funding for them,” Lampton said. “I am confident these updates will be put to good use.”
Wright State University will use this funding to purchase equipment for the Lab Animal Resource Occupational Safety project and the Technology Infrastructure Upgrade project. Both projects will help upgrade the university’s technological infrastructure.
The Ohio State Controlling Board is the financial legislative oversight for capital and operating expenditures by state agencies. The next Controlling Board meeting is scheduled for Dec. 12.
