State Board Approves Funding for Greene County
COLUMBUS— Today the Ohio State Controlling Board approved funding for important projects in Greene County. Through capital funds given by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD), Greene County will receive funds to purchase new housing in the community.
The news is welcomed by State Representative Brian Lampton (R-Beavercreek), who advocated for these funds during negotiations over Ohio’s capital budget for FY 2023-2024, House Bill 597.
“I am proud to have supported and advocated for this funding,” Lampton said. “The new housing will be helpful for so many, and I am glad to see how Greene County will benefit.”
Greene County is set to receive $200,000 to purchase accessible housing in FY 2023.
The Ohio State Controlling Board is the financial legislative oversight for capital and operating expenditures by state agencies. The next controlling board meeting is scheduled for Oct. 3.
