Lampton Supports Significant Funding for Wright State University
COLUMBUS—State Representative Brian Lampton (R-Beavercreek) today announced that significant funding for a replacement project at Wright State University was approved by the Ohio State Controlling Board.
“I have always been a firm advocate for Wright State, and I am very pleased to know that they are continuing to be a priority to our Controlling Board,” Lampton said.
In the 134th General Assembly, Lampton supported House Bill 597, the state capital budget, which is funding the project. Wright State is using these funds to replace two air handler units in their Health Sciences building, allowing for a new-and-improved system.
Wright State University is set to receive roughly $2 million for the completion of this project.
The Ohio State Controlling Board is the financial legislative oversight for capital and operating expenditures by state agencies. The next Controlling Board meeting is scheduled for Feb. 6.
