Lampton Speaks on Resolution to Honor Military Families
COLUMBUS – State Representative Brian Lampton (R-Beavercreek) today testified in a House committee on his resolution which would recognize the families of active-duty military for their sacrifices, selflessness, and patriotism.
Lampton and his joint sponsor, State Representative Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington), recommended that November be observed as “Military Family Month” in Ohio.
“Military families make enormous sacrifices not just for the family member serving in the military, but for the country,” Lampton said. “We have an incredible opportunity in the House to recognize and celebrate that extraordinary selflessness with this resolution.”
The resolution also urges Ohioans to create and participate in programs and activities to celebrate Military Family Month in their respective communities.
H.R. 382 was favorably reported out of the House Armed Services and Veterans Affairs Committee and now awaits a vote on the House floor.
