Lampton Applauds Violent Crime Reduction Funding for Greene County
COLUMBUS—State Representative Brian Lampton (R-Beavercreek) celebrates that $201,227 will be awarded to the Greene County ACE Task Force. The funding will come from the Ohio Violent Crime Reduction Grant Program.
“Prioritizing public safety has always been very important to me,” Lampton said. “This grant will allow the community to evolve and make necessary improvements to continue to keep Greene County safe.”
Lampton supports this funding in its efforts to aid the Greene County ACE Task Force in purchasing new technology and fund overtime hours for violent crime investigations.
“I was happy to support this program through our state operating budget, and I am excited to see how it can benefit the safety of our community,” Lampton added.
Lampton supported HB 110, the state operating budget, which is funding this program. In total, the program will award nearly $100 million to local law enforcement agencies.
So far, this program has awarded roughly $70 million in funding to 146 law enforcement agencies throughout the state through six rounds. The $11.7 million in awards from the most recent round of funding will go to 24 separate agencies.
