Lampton Announces Systemic Safety Funding for City of Fairborn
COLUMBUS – State Representative Brian Lampton (R-Beavercreek) last week announced that the City of Fairborn has been awarded funding from the Ohio Department of Transportation Systemic Safety Funding Program.
The City of Fairborn will receive $50,000 in fiscal year 2024 to be used towards the Fairborn Enhanced Crossings Project. This project will provide the city with five Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon assemblies to install at priority locations near schools, parks, and businesses.
“I am appreciative of this funding, which will make our community roads safer and protect Ohioans,” said Lampton.
The program funds projects aimed at reducing and preventing pedestrian-involved crashes and roadway departure accidents.
A total of $54 million was awarded to support projects in 30 Ohio counties.
