Rep. Beth Liston (D-Dublin) issued a statement on Gov. DeWine’s veto of Senate Bill (SB) 22, controversial legislation that would threaten the health and safety of Ohioans by curbing authority from the governor and health director during public health crises. Rep. Liston voted against the bill and sent the governor a letter sent urging his veto.
“We need to listen to public health professionals and experts to support the safety and security of Ohioans,” said Rep. Liston. “This bill does the opposite, overriding science in favor of politics and putting people’s lives at risk. I am glad the Governor vetoed the bill.”
