Rep. Liston hosts insulin affordability listening session

State Rep. Beth Liston (D-Dublin) hosted an insulin affordability listening session Wednesday to gather information and hear stories from those who have been impacted by the skyrocketing prices of insulin.

“I was touched to hear so many heartbreaking stories from families who struggle to afford insulin or who have lost loved ones to preventable deaths,” said Rep. Liston. “I am going to take the feedback I received and return to the Statehouse to continue working on this important issue.”

The event gave individuals an opportunity to share their stories and discuss possible legislative solutions. People from all across the state attended, including a representative from the Central Ohio Diabetes Association. Attendee concerns ranged from the high costs of insulin and diabetes-related medical services to the strict insurance regulations individuals have to navigate in order to receive care.
