Rep. Brown Piccolantonio Provides Sponsor Testimony on Bill Designating Road Traffic Victims Day of Remembrance in Ohio
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Beryl Brown Piccolantonio (D-Gahanna) Wednesday gave sponsor testimony on House Bill (HB) 490, legislation which would designate the third Sunday in November as "Road Traffic Victims Day of Remembrance” in the state of Ohio. ¿
“I appreciate advocates, first responders, and transportation experts who have gathered annually in Columbus and around the world to mark the ‘Road Traffic Victims Day of Remembrance.’ Designating this observance in the Ohio Revised Code would honor those who have been killed or injured. When road traffic incidents happen, the loss to individuals, families, and our community can be enormous. We owe it to them to remember them, and advocate for policies to enhance road safety and which better support road traffic victims,” said Rep. Brown Piccolantonio.
HB 490 now awaits further hearings in the House State and Local Government Committee.
