Rep. Miller Tapped to Help Shape Public Policy on House Aviation and Aerospace Committee
COLUMBUS – Rep. Adam Miller (D-Columbus) today announced his appointment to the powerful House of Representatives Aviation and Aerospace Committee.
“The future is in aviation and aerospace, and I’m honored to continue Ohio’s leadership in those industries,” said Miller. “Ohio is the leader in aeronautics because of its investment in people, research, and infrastructure. I look forward to serving on the Aviation and Aerospace Committee because it works to ensure that Ohio remains the economic and research leader in the skies and outer space.”
The civilian and defense aviation sectors support more than 41,000 jobs and nearly 600 businesses throughout Ohio. The industry generates more than $8 billion annually for the state. Ohio is home to world class federal facilities like NASA Glenn and Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Ohio’s higher education research institutions continue to lead the nation in innovation while the state remains a major manufacturer from aircraft engines to composites.
