Rep. Adam Miller announces House passage of legislation aimed at improving the lives of children of Ohio's disabled service members and veterans
State Rep. Adam Miller (D-Columbus) today announced the passage of House Bill (HB) 262, legislation creating the Folds of Honor license plate.
“We do a tremendous amount for our service members and their families, but there are important gaps that still remain and Folds of Honor is working to fill one of those gaps by helping children of service members,” said Miller. “Investing in children of disabled veterans is investing in Ohio and investing in our future.”
Folds of Honor is a nonprofit organization that provides education support to children age 5 and older, and continues throughout a child’s education and into adulthood. The organization incorporates a holistic approach to address the needs of children of fallen and disabled service members. In addition, the support is nimble and reflects the diversity of needs faced by these children, and the unique challenges they face as children of disabled veterans and service members.
After passing the House, HB 262 will head to the Ohio Senate for consideration.
