COLUMBUS—The Ohio House of Representatives yesterday passed Substitute House Bill 2, the state’s two-year construction budget for capital projects throughout the state, announced State Representative Melanie Miller (R-City of Ashland).  The bill will allocate more than $4.2 billion for capital projects, including $717 million in one-time project funding from the Strategic Community Investment Fund.

COLUMBUS- House Bill 545, legislation regulating midwives as introduced by State Rep. Melanie Miller (R-City of Ashland) and Co-Sponsor State Rep. Riordan McLain (R-Upper Sandusky) had a second hearing today in the Health Provider Services Committee.

The bill ensures every patient has access to an advocate to be with them in a hospital, nursing home, or other congregate care setting - especially during a health emergency.
