Carruthers Selected as Legislator of the Year

COLUMBUS – The Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging (o4a) selected State Representative Sara Carruthers (R-Hamilton) as Legislator of the Year. 

Carruthers was chosen based on her work supporting older Ohioans and caregivers across the state, especially during the state budget, where she served as Chairwoman of the House Finance Subcommittee on Health and Human Services. 

“I am extremely honored to receive this recognition. I will continue my work and unwavering support to caregivers, older Ohioans, and area agencies that help those who are aging,” Carruthers said.

Carruthers will be recognized for her service and accomplishments during the o4a Annual Conference tomorrow.

Ohio’s Area Agencies on Aging provide education, information, and referral services for older Ohioans. They work with the public and private sectors to help older adults with home and community-based long-term care.
