Carruthers Offers Assistance in Property Tax Debate
To the constituents of the 47th House District,
I am keenly aware of the issues regarding the property values and tax increases in Butler County. I
have been working diligently with the Department of Taxation, Butler County’s Commissioner’s,
Auditor’s office, and other county auditor offices to address this issue. I am also in constant
contact with Senator Lang’s office and other state representatives and senators and have made the
Speaker of the House aware of the situation. Several meetings have already taken place and I’m
sure more are to come due to this ridiculous increase. I will do everything in my power to ensure
the best possible outcome for my constituents and others across the state. I don’t know of anyone
who could afford these increases at this time.
I encourage you to view the FAQs page at the link below which I was sent from the Department
of Taxation that provides further detail on this situation and process.
