House Democrats swear in leadership team for remainder of the 134th General Assembly
COLUMBUS— Today during House session, the Ohio House Democratic Caucus swore in its new leadership team for the remainder of the 134th General Assembly. In an all-caucus vote on Jan. 12, Democrats elected Rep. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) as Minority Leader.
“I am honored by the trust and confidence my colleagues have placed in me, and I look forward to working with this leadership team, Democratic caucus members, staff and our Republican colleagues to create better lives and brighter futures for every Ohioan,” said Leader Russo. “Our caucus is focused on creating good-paying jobs right here in Ohio, making healthcare more affordable and accessible, tackling corruption, and delivering for working people and families. I want to thank Leader Emilia Sykes for her service to our caucus, and I am ready to continue the work of building an Ohio that works for all of us.”
Additional members of House leadership include Assistant Minority Leader Thomas West (D-Canton), Minority Whip Rep. Jessica E. Miranda (D-Forest Park) and Assistant Minority Whip Rep. Richard Brown (D-Canal Winchester).

This caucus has a real plan to get our economy back on track and create opportunity for all Ohioans. We’re working hard for you, the taxpayer, each and every day,” said Assistant Minority Leader West.
