Loychik Appointed as Vice-Chair of Armed Services and Veterans Affairs
Ohio House Speaker Bob Cupp (R-Lima) appointed State Rep. Mike Loychik (R-Bazetta) as Vice-Chair of the Armed Services and Veterans Affairs Committee for the 134th General Assembly.
“I’m honored to join all my colleagues and Chairman Ghanbari on this committee in representing our military service men and women across Ohio,” said Loychik. “I intend to listen, learn, and fulfill my duty in providing our members of the military and veterans with real solutions here in our state. I thank Speaker Cupp for this opportunity.”
Loychik brings exemplary military service to the Armed Services and Veterans Affairs Committee; he dedicated eight years of his life to the United States Air Force. Specifically, the representative was a C-130 Crew Chief with a special operations group, as well as a combat search and rescue group. He retired as a Staff Sergeant.
Loychik will also serve on the following House committees:
· Economic and Workforce Development
· Energy and Natural Resources
· Infrastructure and Rural Development
In serving on the Economic and Workforce Development Committee, Loychik believes this will assist him in following-through on his commitment as he previously acknowledged that economic growth and quality jobs was a priority of his for the next two years.
