Loychik Appointed as Chair of House Armed Services Committee

State Rep. Mike Loychik (R-Bazetta) announces he has been appointed by Ohio House Speaker Jason Stephens (R-Kitts Hill) as Chair of the House Armed Services Committee for the 135th General Assembly.

“I’m grateful to Speaker Stephens for appointing me to this position in representing the ideas and concerns of our armed services throughout Ohio,” said Loychik. “I plan to use my military experience in finding solutions to address these important issues over the course of these next two years for our military families and veterans.”

Loychik is a committed public servant having dedicated eight years of his life to the United States Air Force. He was a C-130 Crew Chief with a special operations group, as well as a combat search and rescue group. He retired as a Staff Sergeant. 

“I believe Representative Loychik’s military experience will allow him to thrive on the Armed Services Committee in order to deliver for the people of Ohio,” said Speaker Stephens.
