John Announces Expansion Project in Mansfield

State Rep. Marilyn John (R-Richland County) announces that the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) earlier this week approved a manufacturing expansion project in Mansfield that will bring new jobs and millions in new and retaining payroll.

“Economic development especially during a worldwide pandemic is definitely uplifting news for our communities,” said John. “Richland County remains economically competitive during these times, and it’s exciting to see investment and jobs coming to Mansfield.”

The announcement is in coordination with Edge Plastics Inc. and the city of Mansfield. Edge Plastics provides plastic manufacturing services for consumer, commercial, and industrial product companies.

The project expects to create 67 full-time positions and will generate $2.3 million in new annual payroll and retain $3.3 million in existing payroll. 

The TCA approved a 1.107 percent, six-year job creation tax credit for this initiative.
