Board Approves Funding for Mansfield Police
COLUMBUS - The State Controlling Board has approved the release of $402,418 for the Mansfield Police Department to assist local communities in reducing and preventing crime.
House Bill 110, the State Operating Budget made this allocation possible. It will be used for overtime, equipment, technical assistance, and analytical support to implement crime reduction strategies.
John has, through her time in the legislature, focused on cracking down on crime while also supporting our law enforcement as they protect and serve our communities.
This funding is a part of the Office of Criminal Justice Services grant program within which $4 million has been allocated to various police forces throughout the state.
“Mansfield Police and the community will both benefit from this grant as it will leave our city a safer place to live and raise a family,” said John.
