State Rep. to introduce legislation to remove mask mandate

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - State Rep. Jena Powell (R-Arcanum) announced she will introduce legislation that removes the statewide mask mandate. The legislation will also prohibit any statewide mask mandates by Governor Mike DeWine or any department director during the COVID-19 pandemic unless approved via General Assembly.

“Sixteen states currently do not have a statewide mask mandate,” said Powell. “These states are thriving economically, mentally, and emotionally.”
