Rep. Forhan Congratulates Ohio State University Professor for Winning a Nobel Prize

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elliot Forhan (D-South Euclid) today congratulated Pierre Agostini, emeritus professor at The Ohio State University, for winning, together with Ferenc Krausz and Anne L’Huillier, the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics from the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.

“Winning a Nobel Prize is a pinnacle achievement in science. I congratulate Emeritus Professor Agostini and The Ohio State University. You have made us proud,” said Rep. Forhan. “Ohio’s institutions of higher education feature and attract some of the brightest minds in the world. We should support them.”

This award was in recognition of their work “for experimental methods that generate attosecond pulses of light for the study of electron dynamics in matter.”
