Rep. Forhan Celebrates Pride Month, Opposes Recent Anti-Trans Legislation

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elliot Forhan (D-South Euclid) today recognizes Pride Month and Ohio’s LGBTQ+ vibrant and diverse community:

“I am so happy to celebrate Pride this month and defend the rights of our LGBTQ+ Ohioans every month. As the son of two moms, I understand the need for an inclusive and accepting community. There is absolutely no space for discrimination and bigotry in our community, state, and country,” said Rep. Forhan.

Anti-trans legislation such as the Anti-Trans Sports Ban (House Bill 6), Ban on Gender Affirming Care (House Bill 68), and the Trans Bathroom Discrimination Act (House Bill 183) have been introduced in Ohio. These bills would destroy Ohioans civil rights and set our state backwards, jeopardizing the work activists, citizens, and leaders have done to make Ohio a welcoming and safe state for all.
