Issue 1 Poll Proves Overwhelming, Bipartisan Support to Vote "NO" on August Special Election for Special Interests

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elliot Forhan (D-South Euclid) today says the new USA TODAY Network/Suffolk University poll that shows 57% of likely Ohio voters are against Issue 1 proves there is overwhelming, bipartisan support to defeat this undemocratic attack by extremists and special interest to make it harder to amend the Ohio constitution. 

“Vote “NO” on Issue 1 in the special election on Tuesday, Aug. 8. Protect your basic rights and your freedom to determine your future,” said Rep. Forhan. 

Along with extremely strong Democratic support, the USA TODAY Network/Suffolk University poll of 500 likely Ohio voters found that, “41% of Republicans, 60% of independents and 41% of Ohioans who voted for President Donald Trump in 2020 said they're also against it.”
