Local theater receives $250,000 grant from state

NORWALK - State Rep. Dick Stein (R-Norwalk) and State Sen. Nathan Manning (R-North Ridgeville) were in Norwalk Monday afternoon to present a check for $250,000 to the Norwalk Arts Center LLC. to be used for repair work on the Norwalk Theatre.
Center officials said most of the money would be used to repair and upgrade the marquee of the theater, which is undergoing major renovations.
Just completed was a new roof of the old building, which will celebrate its 80th birthday this summer.
