Roadwork Grant Issued for Baltic, Ohio
State Representative Brett Hillyer (R-Uhrichsville) announced that on Monday the State Controlling Board approved the release of $258,000 for roadwork improvements in Baltic, Holmes County.
Roadwork Development Grants are awarded for public roadwork improvements that support the expansion or attraction of businesses. Eligible costs include widening, paving, road construction and reconstruction, and right-of-way infrastructure improvements such as sewer or utility lines.
This allocation will be utilized to complete a 1,200-foot reconstruction of Brickyard Road. The old road will be removed and replaced with a new surface.
“Well maintained roadways will lead to more accessibility throughout our communities thus increasing economic accessibility throughout the 98th district,” said Hillyer.
