Hillyer, Miller Introduce Bill to Designate Tuscarawas Valley Memorial Highway
COLUMBUS—State Reps. Brett Hillyer (R-Uhrichsville) and Kevin Miller (R-Newark) yesterday introduced legislation to establish the Tuscarawas Valley Memorial Highway.
More specifically, the bill designates a portion of I-70 in Licking County as the Tuscarawas Valley Memorial Highway in honor of the victims of the bus accident that took place this past November.
“Our community was deeply impacted by the tragic accident that took place late last year, and we feel the loss of the victims every single day,” said Hillyer. “The establishment of this highway is a small way to honor their lives and legacies for generations to come.”
“There is no doubt that the Tusky Valley community is strong,” said Miller. “This dedication is one way we can continue to show our support for the families and the community impacted by last year’s fatal crash.”
House Bill 380 awaits a committee assignment.
