Rep. Dean Sworn in as State Representative of the 74th House District
State Representative Bill Dean (R-Xenia) was sworn in as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 132nd General Assembly. He represents the 74th District, which encompasses all of Madison County, as well as northeastern Clark and eastern Greene counties. This will be his first full term as state representative after being appointed last year.
“I am humbled by the trust our community placed in me this past November,” Dean said. “Guided by God’s grace, I look forward to continuing the principled conservative record I developed over my first few months in office. I look forward to working with the 98 other members of the Ohio House, and I know that our state’s best days are ahead of us.”
Dean graduated from Xenia High School and has owned Dean’s Plumbing in Xenia for twenty-seven years. Prior to his appointment to the Ohio House in April 2016 to finish Senator Bob Hackett’s unexpired term, Rep. Dean had retired from the plumbing industry and had never held political office.
Dean and his wife Pamela are lifelong Xenia residents. They are the parents of ten children and are grandparents to sixteen grandchildren. He and his wife are active members of Grace Bible Church.
