Mahoning County Receiving State Funds for Public Roadwork
COLUMBUS – State Representative Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) supports the State Controlling Board releasing funding to Jackson Township in Mahoning County for the purpose of roadwork improvements to support a project for Macy’s Corporate Services.
This allocation will specifically be used to widen Mahoning Avenue by adding left turn lanes in the East-West direction for turning movements onto Bailey Road to accommodate the increased traffic volume. The existing traffic signal will be upgraded to accommodate the new turn lane.
“Macy’s Corporate LLC is a wonderful asset to the community and it is great to see this funding coming to the valley to make our roadways more efficient for all of those who use them for travel,” said Cutrona.
The allocation will improve commerce for our local businesses and strengthen our local economy.
