COLUMBUS – State Rep. Terrence Upchurch (D-Cleveland) today released the following statement concerning the progress of the Ohio Voters Bill of Rights pro-voting amendment at Tuesday’s Ballot Board meeting:
“I am glad the board approved the ballot initiate so that every Ohioan has an adequate chance to review the issue which will ensure we all have free and fair access to vote,” said Rep. Upchurch.
The proposed constitutional amendment would allow same-day voter registration during early voting and on Election Day, implement automatic voter registration, permit no-excuse mail-in voting for all Ohioans, allow voters to vote without ID by signing a declaration attesting to their identity and more pro-voting measures.
