Representative Richardson Receives Champion for Kids Award
COLUMBUS – Representative Tracy Richardson (R-Marysville) announced that she received the Champion for Kids Award.
Representative Richardson received the Champion for Kids Award for her work on the state budget bill, which made historic investments in child care. Union County Sherriff Malcolm J. “Jamie” Patton presented Representative Richardson with the award on Mon., Dec. 16 at LEADS Head Start in Marysville, Ohio.
“Our kids are our future, and I’m humbled to receive this award recognizing my commitment to caring for kids and their families,” said Richardson. “Together, we can make a difference!”
The Champion for Kids Award is given by Fight Crime: Invest in Kids, a membership of more than 5,000 law enforcement executives dedicated to reducing crime. The organization is part of the Council for a Strong America, a non-profit that ensures the next generation is prepared to succeed.
