COLUMBUS – State Rep. Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) announces Ohio’s annual sales tax holiday will be August 6-8. The holiday marks the weekend where Ohioans will not have to pay state sales and use taxes on clothing items, school supplies and school instructional materials up to a certain price.

State Rep. Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) recently worked to move the extension deadline for E-Check testing after residents received 10-day suspension letters by the BMV. In several cases, many of these individuals are living out-of-state for various reasons including school, military, and work.

State Rep. Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) and the General Assembly passed House Bill 110, known as the two-year state operating budget for Fiscal Years 2022-2023. The legislation highlights include a new school funding reform plan, tax relief, jobs and economic support, and several other initiatives.

State Rep. Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) announces that the Ohio House of Representatives recently passed House Resolution 56. The legislation calls for the elimination of the E-Check program under the Federal Clean Air Act. Patton is a cosponsor on the resolution.
