State Rep. Michele Lepore-Hagan (D-Youngstown) Wednesday sent a letter urging opposition to the reauthorization of federal Fast Track authority, which allows the executive branch to negotiate international trade agreements behind closed doors. The lawmaker, who serves as the ranking minority member of the House Commerce and Labor Committee, urged her colleagues to lobby their congressional counterparts to reject the measure.

State Rep. Michele Lepore-Hagan (D-Youngstown) applauded the awareness raised by today’s sixth annual Human Trafficking Awareness Day at the Ohio Statehouse. The event, organized by State Rep. Teresa Fedor (D-Toledo), brings together law enforcement officials, advocates and survivors from all over the nation for a day of discussion on ways to raise awareness and fight back against human trafficking in Ohio.

State Rep. Michele Lepore-Hagan (D-Youngstown) Monday was named Commerce & Labor Committee’s Ranking Member, the House Minority’s highest ranking official on the legislative panel.

“I am thankful to the people of our district who put their faith in me to stand up and fight for our community,” Rep. Lepore-Hagan said. “We need to be focused on bringing quality jobs to our area while making investments in our communities and schools to drive economic growth and strategically prepare us for a better future and a higher quality of life.
