State Representatives Michael Sheehy (D-Oregon) and Brian Baldridge (R-Winchester) today provided an update on House Resolution 13, a resolution that encourages Michigan Governor Whitmer to keep Enbridge Line 5 operating. House Resolution 13’s companion bill in the Ohio Senate, Senate Resolution 41, was heard today in the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. Senators Teresa Gavarone (R-Bowling Green) and Kenny Yuko (D-Richmond Heights) provided sponsor testimony.

COLUMBUS– State Reps. Lisa Sobecki (D-Toledo) and Mike Sheehy (D-Oregon)’s House Bill (HB) 24 honoring Toledo-born NASA legend Eugene “Gene” F. Kranz unanimously passed the Ohio House. The bill designates August 17, the birthday of Gene Kranz, “Eugene ‘Gene’ F. Kranz Day.”

COLUMBUS –State Reps. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) and Michael Sheehy (D-Oregon) today announced that the House Government Oversight Committee unanimously passed House Bill (HB) 213 by a vote of 11-0. HB 213 designates and displays the Honor and Remember Flag, and requires that it be flown at the Statehouse each Memorial Day under proper flag protocol. The bill also includes a permissive provision that allows other government buildings to fly the flag at their own discretion.
