State Rep. Mary Lightbody (D-Westerville) today issued a statement announcing $7,626,787 in funding for Central Ohio Transit Authority to fund public transportation efforts in Franklin County, which was passed with Democratic backing in the state’s transportation budget earlier this year.
“For so many people in Franklin County, public transportation is an important service provided for commuting to work, as well as to parks, shopping and dining, and other destinations across the city. In District 19 bus lines along the Cleveland Avenue corridor are particularly important, as are lines to Gahanna and New Albany from downtown.”
