COLUMBUS – The OHIO 2020 Economic Recovery Task Force is inviting small businesses from around Ohio to share their story about the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, State Representative Laura Lanese (R-Grove City) announced today.
Speaker Larry Householder (R-Glenford) created the task force to begin looking at ways to lay the foundation for economic renewal in the wake of COVID-19.
“Ohio’s small businesses are the backbone of our economy and are eager to reopen with consideration of the safety and health of their employees and customers at the forefront of their efforts,” Lanese said. “It’s important that their voices are heard as part of this discussion.”
The 24-member, bipartisan House task force is meeting regularly via teleconference, hearing from guest presenters on a range of issues. Meetings are streamed live on OhioChannel.org.
Lanese noted the task force is on Facebook and Twitter: @OHTaskForce2020.
Lanese encourages small businesses in the 23rd House district interested in sharing their story to contact the task force at Ohio2020@ohiohouse.gov with the following information:
- Name and location of the business
- Number of employees
- Years in business
- Contact information for business owners (email, phone number)
- Brief description of the nature of the business
All submissions will be reviewed with the goal of inviting a diverse range of businesses from different industries and regions of the state to testify virtually before the task force. Businesses may also submit written feedback to the task force.
