Jordan Announces Over $5.3 Million in CARES Funds to 67th House District
COLUMBUS – State Representative Kris Jordan (R-Ostrander) today announced the release of over $5.3 million in CARES Act funds to the 67th House District. The funds come following the House’s passage of House Bill 614, which Jordan supported.
House Bill 614 appropriates $650 million in CARES Act funding to counties, municipalities and townships to fund COVID-19 pandemic-related expenses. This CARES funding for counties, municipalities and townships is in addition to the $525 million provided earlier this year.
The funds throughout the 67th House District will be distributed as follows:

The legislation also improves Ohio’s unemployment compensation system, which was overwhelmed by the sudden increase in claims filed due to COVID-19. Included in the improvements to the system is the creation of the Unemployment Compensation Modernization and Improvement Council.
“Today was a busy and successful day at the Ohio Statehouse passing instrumental legislation to aid our local communities adapt to the changes this pandemic has thrown at us. House Bill 614 is a step in the right direction to ensure our communities can get back to the normalcy we are used to,” said Jordan.
