State Reps. Sedrick Denson (D-Cincinnati), Catherine Ingram (D-Cincinnati), Brigid Kelly (D-Cincinnati) and Jessica Miranda (D-Forest Park) today announced a town hall meeting on Thursday, August 15th at 6:00 p.m. at People Working Cooperatively to discuss the state budget, bipartisan priorities and a number of recent Democratic-led wins for working people and families in Hamilton County.

“I am excited for the opportunity to hear about the issues that the people we represent are concerned about,” said Rep. Miranda. “There is a lot of work left to do, so it is important for us to get direction from families and the communities that we serve in Columbus.”

State Rep. Jessica E. Miranda (D-Forest Park) today announced the upcoming back-to-school Ohio sales tax holiday that will take place starting on Friday, August 2 through Sunday, August 4. In 2018, state lawmakers passed legislation making this three-day, back-to-school sales tax holiday a recurring holiday each year.

“As a mother of two girls in school, this tax holiday is something my family looks forward to every year. It is also an excellent opportunity to spend with your children as you prepare for the upcoming school year,” said Rep. Miranda. “So I encourage all the families of the Great 28 to take advantage of the sales tax holiday for all your back to school needs.”

State Rep. Jessica E. Miranda (D-Forest Park) announced this week the release of a $3,576,000 grant from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) to the Reading Community City School District.

“I am excited that Reading Community City School district will receive this essential funding to help improve the quality of academics in the district,” said Miranda. “The state has made a good faith effort to promote education and ensure that our children are given opportunity to succeed.
