State Rep. Jessica E. Miranda (D-Forest Park) announced her appointment this week to the Ohio House Insurance Committee, where she will help shape and refine insurance policy during the 133rd General Assembly.
“I am honored and eager to use my background as an insurance agent to address the issues that impact everyday citizens in Ohio,” said Miranda. “From working through the logistics of medical and family leave to pushing back against archaic and restrictive efforts to restrict access to reproductive services, I am looking forward to getting started.”
Miranda’s appointment comes after committee member and former Rep. Glenn Holmes (D-Girard) resigned his seat last week to serve on the Ohio Parole Board.
Rep. Miranda represents Ohio’s 28th House district, which consists of the northern suburbs of Cincinnati including Blue Ash, Forest Park, Sharonville and parts of Reading.
