COLUMBUS— State Rep. Jessica E. Miranda (D-Forest Park) today was named to a bipartisan work group, OHIO 2020, to aid in the state’s economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic. House Democrats formed similar work groups in recent weeks, releasing short and long-term priorities to benefit those hit hardest by the pandemic. Rep. Miranda released the following statement:
“I am thankful to Speaker Householder for naming me to the OHIO 2020 bipartisan working group. It is an honor to represent Southwest Ohio in this group of lawmakers from throughout the state. I am ready to get to work on behalf of House District 28 and ensure the post-pandemic economic recovery is as smooth and expedient as possible. I will advocate for the priorities listed out by House Democrats to benefit families and individuals disproportionately impacted by this crisis.”
Today’s announcement follows calls from House Democrats last week to reconvene the General Assembly to address outstanding issues they say cannot wait until after the pandemic subsides.
