Rep. Jessica E. Miranda (D-Forest Park) announced today that the state Controlling Board approved several items of note this week, including $84.7 million for various highway and road construction projects across the state. Included was funding for furniture purchases at the University of Cincinnati’s Blue Ash Campus, as a part of the Muntz Hall Rehabilitation Project.

“A number of key funding items were approved today that will have material benefits here in the #Great28,” said Rep. Miranda. “The improvement project underway at UC Blue Ash will help make the campus a great place for all students and visitors.”

The Controlling Board also approved $200,000 in each of the next two years to develop a comprehensive lead testing training program for pediatricians in Ohio. The Ohio Healthy Homes and Lead Poisoning Prevention Program will increase blood lead testing rates of at-risk Ohio children.
