Rep. Jessica E. Miranda announces funding for Northwest Local School District, Hamilton County

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Jessica E. Miranda (D-Forest Park) announced today that the State Controlling Board approved over $358 million for building and renovating schools in Northwest Local School District in Hamilton County. 

“As a former school board president and mother to three children in our public school system, I understand the necessity for access to education. Having updated, safe schools is vital in allowing students to learn in a supportive environment.

“I commend the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission for approving funding to our great schools,” said Rep. Miranda. “Our children deserve the best, and this funding will help further the success of our teachers, students, and staff.”

The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission has approved both master facility plan and amendment for the Northwest Local School District, Hamilton County, with a state share of $78,949,604 and a local share of $279,912,233.

The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission oversees capital projects undertaken by state agencies and state-supported institution of higher education; manages Ohio’s school facility programs which provide support for the construction and renovation of public K-12 schools; and administers the funding for community-based cultural and sports facilities projects.

The Commission’s mission is to lead collaboration with their partners in the planning, design, and construction of public facilities through quality service, expertise, and knowledge sharing.
