State Rep. Jessica Miranda (D-Forest Park) took the oath of office today during the opening session of the 133rd Ohio General Assembly at the Ohio Statehouse, officially beginning Miranda’s first term as state lawmaker.
“I look forward to fighting for the citizens of Ohio, especially those in my 28th House District. This is a responsibility I do not take lightly,” said Rep. Miranda. “By improving education, educational funding, ensuring quality health care and providing jobs along with strong economic development, we truly can make a difference in every Ohioans’ daily life.”
Rep. Miranda plans to use her experience as a small business owner to push for commonsense legislation to eliminate unnecessary red tape to make it easier to start and grow a business in Ohio.
In addition, Miranda plans to work across the aisle to increase opportunity and prosperity for everyday Ohioans by investing in education, improving infrastructure and expanding access to technology such as broadband internet throughout the state.
Miranda lives with her husband, Jose, and three daughters in Forest Park, Ohio.
