COLUMBUS - On Tuesday, March 1, House Bill 181 received its third hearing in the House Commerce and Labor Committee. The legislation requires licensing boards to recognize applicants who complete registered apprenticeships.

COLUMBUS – The Cosmetology Reform Act (House Bill 277) today received its second hearing in the Ohio House Commerce and Labor Committee. The bill, sponsored by State Rep. Jena Powell (R-Arcanum), is a comprehensive reform to Ohio’s cosmetology and barber licensing laws.

COLUMBUS – The Ohio House of Representatives today passed Senate Bill 157, the Born Alive Protection Act, to protect the lives of a child who is born alive after a failed abortion. State Representative Jena Powell (R-Arcanum) voted yes in support of the bill.
