State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) announces House Bill 687, also known as the “capital bill,” has passed out of both chambers of the General Assembly. The legislation includes the two-year state construction budget that contains funding for a variety of initiatives across the state and aid for local projects throughout the 75th Ohio House District. 

State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) announces bipartisan legislation addressing the opioid crisis was approved by the General Assembly on Wednesday. The legislation, under House Bill 193, requires Schedule II prescriptions to be completed electronically. Pavliga is a joint sponsor of the bill alongside State Rep. Al Cutrona.

Today, the Ohio House of Representatives concurred on Sub. House Bill 291. The bill has several road-naming bills within it including Pavliga’s House Bill 25, which designates a portion of Interstate Route 76 in Portage County as the "CPL Benjamin C. Dillon Memorial Highway."

The program is funded from House Bill 110, the state operating budget that was signed into law last year. Pavliga was a supporter of the bill and voted in favor of it in the Ohio House.
