Medicare Virtual Town Hall & Check-up Events Announced for Ohio's Senior Citizens
COLUMBUS - State Rep. Jessica E. Miranda (D-Forest Park) this week announced an important information session for seniors. Ohio Department of Insurance (ODI) Director Judith L. French and Medicare experts from the department’s Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) are hosting a free, virtual town hall on Thursday, October. 12 at 11:30 a.m. to help Ohioans on Medicare prepare for the upcoming Medicare open enrollment period. This town hall will cover important changes to Medicare in 2024.
“I wanted to highlight the great work that ODI and OSHIIP are doing for our seniors. I think there is a lot of misinformation out there and this is a great opportunity to get accurate information from a trusted source. Navigating the Medicare process can be challenging, and I hope this town hall will help make it easier,” said Rep. Miranda.
The town hall will cover:
- Medicare changes for 2024
- How to Compare Options & Select Coverage
- Money Saving Tips
- Tips to Avoid Medicare Fraud
