Ohio Democratic lawmakers Reps. Paula Hicks-Hudson (D-Toledo) and Catherine D. Ingram (D-Cincinnati) todaysent a letter to 42 Republican House members who last week, without evidence, urged the Ohio Attorney General to join the Texas Attorney General’s attack on the democratic presidential election result. 

COLUMBUS— State Rep. Catherine Ingram (D-Cincinnati) today provided sponsor testimony in the House Civil Justice Committee for House Bill (HB) 622, legislation that would suspend child support obligations during the COVID-19 emergency. HB 622 will require the obligor seeking relief from a child support order to notify the child support enforcement agency and provide proof of the loss of income. It will also require the child support enforcement agency to conduct an investigation to confirm the obligor’s inability or ability to fulfill their child support obligation.

COLUMBUS— State Reps. Catherine Ingram (D-Cincinnati) and Jessica Miranda (D-Forest Park) today provided sponsor testimony in the House Civil Justice Committee for House Bill (HB) 597, emergency legislation that would halt the collection of student and medical debt owed to state higher education institutions and hospitals operated by those institutions. This bill will also freeze the accrual of interest and collection of fees on all outstanding debt owed to the above entities.

COLUMBUS— State Representatives Paula Hicks-Hudson (D - Toledo), Catherine D. Ingram (D-Cincinnati), Michele Lepore-Hagan (D-Youngstown), and Bride Rose Sweeney (D-Cleveland) wrote a letter to Secretary of State Frank LaRose asking him to account for a directive he issued late Friday afternoon. The directive cuts off six days of vote counting time that counties might need to finish the count. It moves the deadline from November 24 to November 18 for counties to complete the official canvass.

COLUMBUS— State Rep. Catherine Ingram (D-Cincinnati) announced that House Bill (HB) 160, legislation to allow certain permit holders to sell alcoholic ice cream in Ohio, was signed into law yesterday by Governor Mike DeWine.
