Rep. Ingram statement as House passes bill to expand broadband access to underserved Ohioans
State Rep. Catherine Ingram (D-Cincinnati) today applauded the Ohio House passage of House Bill (HB) 2, a long-held Democratic priority that would create the Ohio Residential Broadband Expansion Program, specifically designed to bring broadband access to unserved residential households in both rural and urban areas of the state.
“This is finally a way to not only expand connectivity for all Ohioans, but this shows that we are trying to address inequities that continue to plague our Great State and our nation. Increased connectivity and increased access to broadband will create many opportunities that Ohioans desperately need right now,” said Rep. Ingram.
HB 2 now moves to the Ohio Senate for further consideration.
