Cincinnati-area Reps. join Governor DeWine for opening-day tour of local mass vaccination site
Today, Cincinnati-area State Reps. Jessica E. Miranda (D-Forest Park), Catherine Ingram (D-Cincinnati), and Brigid Kelly (D-Cincinnati) joined Governor DeWine for a tour of the state-sponsored mass COVID-19 vaccination site at the Cintas Center. Approximately 10,000 first doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be given during the site’s first three days of operating at full capacity.
“It was great to see this site up close and to meet some of the staff and volunteers working tirelessly to get Southwest Ohioans vaccinated,” said Rep. Miranda. “While we’re not out of the woods of this pandemic yet, I’m thankful for the federal government ramping up the vaccine supply and the state working to get shots in arms.”
“Today was an important opportunity to observe again the amazing work being done by our incredible health care workers. Every vaccination administered makes or communities safer and helps Ohioans return to a sense of normalcy,” said Rep. Ingram.
“This site will give many members of our community a crucial opportunity to get vaccinated,” said Rep. Kelly. “I am grateful to everyone who has played a part in making this a reality for Cincinnati, and to those who are dedicated to moving our community forward past the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The site is being managed by Kroger and appointments are required. Eligible Ohioans can sign up for a vaccine appointment here.
